Effects of environment on human culture?

Arlen Hamper: On the environment, yes. On global warming, not really. Mars is warming as well. Do we have an effect on that? The earth has been warming and cooling in cycles way before man was here. Did we have an effect on that, too? It doesn't take a genius to figure this stuff out. Just do a bit of thinking for yourself.

Faviola Dewire: a better question is what effects do people have on the environment ??Modern man is far removed from the Environment I live in the tropics and here the Environment is 100 times more ,than for example in Europe ,but the people are 1000 times further removed from it mentaly they dont care at all for it ,they came from the jungle and are going the other way towards civilization .and here the carelessness and contamination of nature is much much more than in Europe ,and very few people have gardens ,and this is a tropical paradise it is always like that ,those living in Paradise have no idea of whay thery got .i call them Pigs in Par! adisein civilized countries people love the Environment and many people are trying to return to it ,with gardens ,parks or doing some horticulture on free holds ,also many people are buying farms together with some friends and are returning to a healthy country way of life ,usually working for far less money ,but aiming for a better quality of lifeso the attitudes are probably oposite of what one would think .I have lived with the Mazateccas Indios and they are still very close to nature ,living in the jungle and with a tremendous knowlege of plants and animals ,but their forefathers were much much more involved ,Christianity is weaning people away from their roots ,and the difference is great when one compares converted native people to those who are still living the traditional wayAs far as mental effects are concerned ,country people are more relaxed and time has a different meaning ,they tend to think in days instead of in minutes and are definately more polite ,graciou! s and hospitibla ,apreciating when people visit as oposed to p! eople from the cities they further one goes into the sticks the more polite people become and the more respectfull they are of others and their suroundings...Show more
