Season Confalone: For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/axrOTSo that of the interview went well they could hire you on the spot, rather than waiting until they talked to your references (and if the references were bad, they could cancel the interview & save some time).
Sharron Salin: Yes, part of whether or not they want to bother with a face to face.
Tillie Wynott: The entire point of including people for references on a CV is so that the new employer can call the previous employers to get the actual references.First, the new employer reads each cv and tosses the bad ones. Hermina Ketring: I specifically told an employer that my current employer did not know I was looking for a new job and he called anyway and spoke to him. Can he do that?

Cletus Crotts: It is usually not common to call references but it may just be their policy. I wouldn't read too much into it until you've had the interview.
Davida Gisriel: Yeah that is a good sign. Do you think they waste time checking references on someone that aren't considering hiring? The interview would be the best sign though.Good Luck!!
