Francisco Schonhardt: My guess would be that they would eventually start to shrink due to evaporation, the ground sucking it up due to drying out, the marine life would start to die off causing other marine life not to have food, along with other animals that come by to eat from the lakes, etc. A terrible dominoe effect really.
