Beer makes people fat?

Miguel Koczela: You ever seen those Coors mini kegs, 5 liters, 170 ounces. All you need.

Somer Distilo: I weigh 150 lbs and don't drink very often. I drank one glass already and am starting to feel flushed already. The second glass is sitting beside me. I plan to finish off the bottle in an hour. How drunk will I get? Will I still be able to read bedtime stories coherently in a .5 hour?

Sammy Hatzenbihler: Drunk *** hell

Ruthe Real: yes beer does make you fat but so does eating a lot of food and personally i love drinking beer

Mee Blumenfeld: probably has something to do with it

Elden Bardach: Yes, it does. Heres a pretty interesting website for you:

German Thal: It's quite possible, maybe evne likely, that beer is the cause. Keep in mind also that alcohol slows the metabolism, which in turn can cause weight gain.

Ronald Moehr: I have been to a quite a few towns around the east coast, but I have noticed the beer options aren't a! s big as in my Texas town. Does anyone else on here get 32oz canned beers,6 pack 16oz, and 12oz 30 packs, or am I in beer heaven? Please state location.Oh and how bout those 16oz cans now that have the screw top, aren't those awesome!

Dee Depung: Rent a keg and be happy friend ( I do lol).

Lourie Mcroberts: although alcohol does slow the metabolism it is not this that causes the "beer guts" it is the carbohydrates that cause the pudge

Kalyn Proietto: YES! ya its because of the yeast in it Depending on the type of beer, there may be leftover starches as well

Angelyn Ducas: I get all of those .. haven't looked for the 16oz can with the screw top however. My location? Also in Texas.

Rubye Bonnin: very drunk

Adelle Weight: i herd that everytime you drink 1 beer that you gain 33 pounds..thats what i herd and what every1 is talking bout

Rachal Osaki: probably, its like liquid bread. A lot of beer belly is actually the fatty tissue around t! he liver from poor liver function from drinking so much.some h! as it and some don't. Liquor on the other hand, has like no carbs, but its not good for overconsumption either. My husband drinks like you stated, he's skinny everywhere but his belly. Its pretty gross....Show more

Roland Stampley: 25 minutes since I posted the question, 2nd glass is almost gone and I'm starting to feel gooooood! :)

Oswaldo Rayburn: yeah I use to listen to NWA, I know yall got 40's lol

Luke Gacusan: That's not fat, That's a status symbol. It's not cheap to earn that.

Samara Siewers: You will not be able to read bedtime stories coherently then. Enjoy yourself.

Sammy Tabatt: Beer is very fattening I'm sorry to say

Jules Ashbach: I'm not sure if we get 16 oz in California, but we do have 12oz and 32 oz. And of course 40 oz's :]

Claudio Drullard: haha well thanks for all your answers.I just had to ask, because ever since I have been seing my high school classmates whom all graduated in 2006. All of them are big partiers! , have gained like 30 lbs, and I'm the only person who lost 15 lbs lol.

Valentine Michaud: Wine is disgusting. =/

Noah Deni: Its a mix of carbs and alcohol lowering your metabolism. If your bothered by it try drinking light beer, wont solve the problem - but it will help a lil bit.

Garrett Detone: Yups beer gives you a beer belly!

Hunter Beech: yes beer is fatning beer is made with yeast. and all alcohol products no matter is beer or wine or hard liqours are made with a sugary based fuel so to speak.

Sol Bayn: I like white wine and rose wine or whatever but my boyfriend just got that kind of wine and told me its really good and stuff but I'm not sure. I'm obviously going to try it but I just want to know what to expect. Thank you :)

David Boehler: Pretty drunk, and no coherent anything in 1/2 an hour.750ml is about 25 ounces, and one serving is considered 5 ounces. It would be about the same as polishing off 5 beers, and for a 150 lbs per! son that's drunk enough to tell.

Leontine Kreitz: first off rock ! on i live in texas to its amazingsecond what you have i have probably because same state
