Ardath Templer: Vegetarians and vegans people get confused with-vegetarian diets consist largely of vegetarian foods, but "may" include fish or poultry, or other meats on an infrequent basis depending on the person-some eat eggs, fish, (mainly the less intelligent animals), curry, rice, noodles, etc, alot of varieties-nope, i became vegetarian at 13 and alot of people start to realize vegetarian is the way to go!-there isnt really a strict diet, as vegetarian foods can be quite fatty "deserts etc.)-Yes fish is a protein and a meat, if your a true vegetarian most likely you wont eat fish, as it is an animal, some eat fish as fish is very dumb (memory span of 3 seconds)...Show more
Joni Ziak: - You can eat anything without meat. Don't worry about missing out on things because I have never been to returant without any vegetarian options, are there are alternatives such as veggie burgers!-I don't like vegetables either, I mean I still do eat them but there are so mant o! ther things to eat than just vegetables, you can still eat ice cream, chocolate, candy (as long as no geletain) and "meats" (veggie chicken nuggets, veggie burgers etc.) -No it is not, one day when I was 6 I just said to my parents I'm a vegetarian now, and they just went along with it, and I still am one to this day.-Think of what your average diet is now, and replace all the meat you eat with dairy, "meat" and vegetables-Fish IS meat, and I don't understand why some "vegetarians" eat it even though I do know one. The term for that is Pecetarians....Show more

!Jed Mutone: It is best to google vegetarianism. Mainly they do not eat animal products (except seafood and eggs). I do eat fish (salmon) one in a while. Explore with some different vegetables, you may find that you do like them. It all depends on the way the veggies are prepared. Vegans do not eat any animal product.
Gregory Dilg: Every vegetarian is different. What they eat depends on their reason for being vegetarian. This can include health reasons, environmental reasons, and animal rights reasons among others. I eat a semi-vegetarian diet in an effort to reduce my carbon footprint. This means that I eat mostly carbohydrates like pasta and rice, vegetables, fruits, dairy, and lots of beans and nuts for protein. I do eat meat every now and then. Stricter vegetarians swear off of meat altogether. Some vegetarians eat fish and others don't for reasons of their own....Show more
Estrella Northway: 1. Vegetarians can eat anything that has no animal flesh ! or parts that came from an animal such as gelatin (found in many yogurts, in Frosted Mini Wheats, marshmallows and jello) or rennet and lipase which are found in soft cheeses like Brie and in things like Kraft Dinner, cheese slices and Cheez Whiz.2. You still need vitamins from fruits and veggies so you should still try to eat some vegetables. Peas are awesome because they have lots of fiber. Or just have a basic salad, doesn't have to be too complicated. Besides that, you need to eat grains like pasta and whole grain breads, and protein in nuts, tofu, beans, and tons of other foods (protein is in almost everything a vegetarian/vegan would eat - as long as you are eating a variety of foods, you are likely getting plenty of protein - a piece of whole grain toast with peanut butter gives you a complete protein right there).3. No it's not weird to suddenly become vegetarian. Many vegetarians get that "aha" moment when they realize what happens to animals used for food, a! nd they just stop eating animal flesh altogether.4. Average diet - see! # 2. Also soymilk or rice milk, cereals, veggie pizza, meatless "meats", etc.5. Fish is an animal, and vegetarians do not eat any animals. The posters who have said that vegetarians eat fish and other seafood do not know what they are talking about. Good luck!...Show more
Alexandria Popik: Hi, vegan here. That means I eat nothing that has come from or been made by an animal. No milk, eggs, or honey. Definitely no wearing fur or leather, either.Vegetarians do not eat meat. Strict vegetarians and vegans don't eat eggs or dairy. Even stricter vegans avoid things like honey and refined foods.Other than vegetables you can eat legumes, grains, fruits, and if you're an ovo-lacto vegetarian you can eat eggs and dairy. If you don't eat vegetables you are pretty much screwed when it comes to nutrition, regardless of whether or not you eat meat. It's not weird to become a vegetarian suddenly. That's what I did. That's what many people do. You have to start somewhere, and for! some people it's just better to make the change quickly instead of having a transition period.Fish is a meat. Therefore, by eating fish you are excluding yourself from the category of vegetarianism... pretty simple really. There is a word for people who eat no land-dwelling animals but do eat seafood - that word is pescetarian. You are right, fish are animals, and meat is the flesh of an animal, so what is the flesh of a fish if not meat? I would like to know. :)...Show more
