Humbucker sized single coil pickups for reggae?

Clement Viscarro: I'm tempted to ask why you got a guitar with two humbuxkers when you seem to want single coil pick ups (but I won't).I've never heard of a humbucker-sized single coil pick up and doubt you'll find one. The only thing you could do would be to replace the existing humbucker with one that can be coil-tapped. You would then need to install a switch or a push/pull pot to select single or double coil operation. For a competent person this is a simple enough job but is likely to be quite expensive. Evelin Turlich: The Seymour Duncan Phat Cat is a humbucker sized single coil P-90. However, reviews indicate that they don't really sound much like other single coils.

Kristina Brockwell: You don't need single coils to to get a reggae tone. I've never heard of a humbucker sized single coil. The are single coil sized stacked ! humbuckers, but never heard of the opposite. But again, you do not need single coils.
